I’m Carol, a happily retired individual who enjoys drawing and painting (particularly portraits) history, architecture, photography, theatre, concerts, indoor cycling, Pilates, walking, dining out with friends, art exhibitions, all kinds of music from Opera and Classical to Folk and, of course, I enjoy singing.

I loved travelling and during my lifetime have travelled to many fascinating countries of the world including Japan, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Russia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Thailand, South and North America, Canada, Cuba and most of Europe.

Nearly all my family now reside in Vancouver and Toronto. Facebook keeps us all in touch. However, I have two sisters and a brother and their respective families living in the UK.

I have enjoyed singing from childhood.

The music teacher at my Grammar School said I had an unusually low voice for a girl. As a result I was made to sing with the boys. We performed Gilbert and Sullivan Operas on a yearly rota system. I was really upset when I had to dress in men’s costumes especially when we performed Iolanthe . I desperately wanted to be a fairy!!!!
